Midnight-Cafe

The Academy

Brushpoint started in 2019 with an epiphany; that we lacked knowledge upon entering the studio, knowledge which we could have prepared for when we were still students.

At the time, Brushpoint did not have a name yet. We were professional artists then who knew the ins and outs of different studios or agencies. We knew what we needed to study and we learned by firsthand experience in our respective industries. Though it has been a few years after we have graduated, the problems we’ve encountered as budding professionals were still the same concerns from almost every art student– they had no idea about the next step, what to prepare, and what they needed to be a professional.

As tenured professional artists, we could not let that cycle to keep on continuing to thousands of Filipino art students that graduate from different schools and yet still face the problems over and over again. That is where Brushpoint Started. Fast forward to 2020, where we started a Facebook page which featured great Filipino digital artists and hosted podcasts where we discussed about things students needed to hear to break into the industry.

Today, to complete the roadmap that would guide students, we started teaching to equip students with the necessary skills and techniques that they would certainly use in the studio.

We believe that this is just the start of our journey. And we are looking forward in you being alongside this journey of ours in shaping better and adept Filipino art students who will be ready to take on the art industry
